Casa sweet casa

Well we are pretty much settled into our NEW HOME!!! Very exciting indeedy. It's a beautiful house in the wee village of San Juan Bautista Geulache in the Etla valley. It has a large yard, lots of trees and birdies, a buena vista of the mountains and the sounds of donkeys, sheep, chickens, Mexican music and kids laughing in background. Just being there is inspiring in itself. Our days are full; running errands, moving furniture around, organizing (Amee's favourite), decorating, digging a garden (Jean's favourite), planting seeds, and cleaning. When we sit and relax on our verranda there is a feeling of happiness and relief that everything is coming into place and we are meant to be here. This is what the 2 year goal was all about and now it's finally here, coming to fruition.

We hired a painter, Benny, who is so talented and fast. He's only 20 and has already been painting for 7 years. Would have taken us a few weeks to do the whole house and Benny is doing it 5 days. Hues of Tequila, Ciel Azul, Lluvia de Verano, Tuna, and Oaxaca orange have transformed the white walls into a bright and cheerful Mexican home.

We don't have internet yet, thus the lack of recent blog postings. Mucho photos to come, we'll probably/hopefully get hooked up in a couple of weeks.

Looking forward to visits from family and friends.
We miss you all so much.

xo,
Amicita y Juan

Hey Sweet Amee! So great to see that you are settled - your home sounds amazing, and what an incredible way to spend your days - gardening, decorating and listening to the Mexican children playing.

Great job on the blog - it's so fun to get a sneak peek on your life in the sunshine.
